DIScovery Program scholarship funds go to help high school students from countries outside of Southeast Asia come to Dalat to experience a year of study at Dalat highlighted by overseas missions experiences. This is a challenge to students all over the world to "DIScover" their potential, their world and their God. Students will study at Dalat for a school year, live with a dorm family and join cross cultural outreach trips. This year of overseas study costs US$20,000 for each student.

Dalat International School started as a missionary school in 1929 and it's mission to help to complete the Great Commission is still strong! About half of Dalat students come from missionary families serving in Southeast Asia. Dalat also serves the expat business community. Every year Dalat provides funds to help families; both missionary and expat, to provide a first class education through academic, athletic and biblical instruction. These funds are in excess of RM200,000 or US$57,000 annually.
Smart Boards is a classroom tool that allows teachers to use computer images on a board to instruct students. The goal is to provide these boards in each of our five elementary school classrooms by the end of the 2006-2007 school year. Each board costs RM10,000 or US$2,900.

As many of you know in Malaysia; when it rains it pours. During the rainy season many of our children do not have an area to play without getting wet. When it is not rainy and the sun is out playing on a concrete court can be pretty scorching. Also, Dalat being a great place for sports, the school hosts many tournaments throughout the school year. Dalat has decided that we need to provide an outside covered basketball court for your students to keep them dry and out of the sun as they play. The covering will cost RM240,000 or US$65,700 to complete with new basketball surface, basic lighting and covering. This is a great project for an individual or group that has an interest in Dalat athletics to get behind and help provide for the kids.
